Sarah in year 1. New York,New York!!

Sarah came to visit the year 1 students. She is from New York, in the USA. We sang our nice songs to her (songs she knew very well) and she taught us about the fruit, by using pictures, games and a song of fruit and veggies (Hokey Pokey tune).

Sarah vino a visitar a los niños de 1º. Es de Nueva York, en los Estados Unidos. Le cantamos nuestras bonitas canciones (que ella conocía muy bien) y ella nos enseñó la fruta, usando dibujos, juegos y una canción de fruta y verduras (con la melodía del Hokey Pokey)

We have to colour, cut and stick the fruit in a basket.
Tenemos que colorear, recortar y pegar la fruta en una cesta.

Georgia in Infantil

Again Georgia came last Tuesday to tell us about her home country: Australia.

El pasado martes volvió Georgia a contarnos cosas sobre su país natal: Australia.

We saw Kangaroos, platypus, sharks, koalas, bandicoots… And we touched them!

Vimos canguros, ornitorrincos, tiburones, koalas, bandicoots… Y los tocamos! ;)

Visit of Georgia, language assistant from Australia.

Georgia is a beautiful Australian girl, who is helping to teach English at El Algarrobillo (Valencina de la Concepción's Primary school)

We asked her to come and talk to us about Australia. We had a lot of questions for her.

We had a great time, especially when she showed us a small didgeridoo she brought.

The year 6 students sang "Waltzing Matilda" when she came into their classroom. It was very touching.

We had great laughs when Conrado started to play the didgeridoo.

Thank you so much, Georgia. Waiting for you to come again and visit the little ones.

 
 

"Ten tips to eco EU" etwinning project.

Los niños y niñas del grupo de infantil 3 años están haciendo un proyecto etwinning sobre cuidado del medio ambiente y reciclaje junto a distintos países europeos (Polonia, Croacia, Reino Unido, Bélgica y Rumanía) y Turquía.

La primera actividad es el diseño de Christmas trees (árboles de Navidad) hecho con materiales naturales, y una Christmas card hecha con materiales naturales y de reciclaje. En esta clase no se tira nada, todo se reutiliza.

Year 5 and 6 pupils are writing their letters to our friends of the King's school in Ely-Cambs, Cambridgeshire (UK)

We are happy to work with them one more time.

Saint David's Day. 1st March.

Year 5 students have to search for information in the Woodlands Jr School web (Calendar), in the Activity Village site or in wikipedia. Then use their laptops to make a presentation (.odt) about Saint David.
